NOTD: Sephora by Opi "Thyme for a Mani"

I decided I like using my Sony Cybershot camera instead of my iPhone...much better quality pictures...imagine that! Anyways, for my nails I used "Thyme for a Mani" by Sephora by OPI. This was one that came in my set of 16 mini polishes. It's a great color! The formula is awesome and it's a really interesting neutral. I was feeling a neutral today when I decided to paint my nails...and I'm glad to have run across this one!

P.S. Sorry about my bad cuticles!!! Just look at the pretty color! ;)

OOTD: Leopard and Green

I really wanted to wear a few of my new things today. And this is the outfit that I ended up using to do so! I paired my dark green jeans with my new white button down, my riding boots, and my leopard print scarf and belt. I really like this outfit!!!

Also this is my first time using the blogger app!! Hope it works! :)

1st Experience Thrifting: Plus Franchesca's and TJ Maxx Haul! :)

Today my roommate and I decided to try our hand at thrifting. We found some cute stuff, but I seemed to like the experience more than her. She was pretty grossed out and I can see why. I guess my love of fashion/a good deal trumped it. Anyways, we started off at Goodwill, then went to Franchesca's and TJ Maxx...maybe we can try out the other Goodwill one day soon.

But here's what treasures I found on my thrifting adventure! :)

Brooks Brothers Button down, I was pretty excited about this one. It's the first awesome find of the day. I love button downs and the preppy look and nothing says upscale preppy like Brooks Brothers! No one has to know it was $3.99! ;)

Banana Republic 3/4 length white button down. This was another great find! It's a fitted white button down that I'll be able to wear through winter and on into spring/summer! Woo! I LOVE that it's fitted and its super soft.

I don't recognize the brand on this, and it's a size 8...but it's 100% silk and i tried it on and it fits beautifully. This may turn into one of my favorite pieces! This was definitely a gem!

I've been looking for a gold chain link necklace, and I love the length and size of this one! And for $1.99 I couldn't beat it! :)

Anyways those are all my secondhand items I found. My total came to $14 and some change. I'd say I did pretty well for my first time thrifting!

Franchesca's

After the old gross feel of the Goodwill we decided to go to a cute boutique style store with NEW!

I LOVE this skirt!!! And it was in the sale items for $10!!!

T.J. Maxx

In the spirit of thrifting, but roomie wanting new, never worn things we stopped into T.J. Maxx...I found way too many things I liked. Oops! :)

I'm going to adore this top for spring!! :)

Saw this blazer and instantly fell in love, it's super soft cotton so it will carry me through until spring! Can't wait to make all kinds of outfits with it! :)

Express scarf for $6!!! So Nautical and cute!!

Steve Madden belts, they came in a set of two for $12!

Nine West bag: $17!! Best find of the day...hands down!

Here's two things my mom bought but ended up giving to me this weekend: Go Mom!

Recap: I ended up spending around $110 and I got 4 tops, 2 belts, a new purse, 2 jackets, a necklace, 2 scarves, and a skirt..Woo hoo!!!
Can't wait to go "thrifting" again! :)

NOTD: Essie "Recessionista"

This weekend my dad got married! Congrats dad! Anywho...as I was in a rush to get out the door I realized my spring green nails were chipping so I grabbed a more appropriate color and painted them quickly.

I love this color, and it dried really quickly and with two coats and a top coat I'm really surprised I didn't ruin the paint job. This color is from the fall collection this year, but I really like the jewel tone purple for winter. It looked great with my outfit (which I apologize for not snapping a picture of...I was running way late!) which was a black dress with a tan cardigan.

Pantone 2013 Color of the Year: Emerald

I love emerald green, my eyes are green so whenever I wear it I feel like they pop. Anyways, Pantone came out with their 2013 color of the year and this year it's emerald! Woo! Here's a few ways to incorporate the pretty green into your wardrobe this year:

Everyday Emerald

I love colored jeans. I already have a pair of dark green ones, I need to invest in a pair of lighter ones for spring. I love leopard too, and its really popular right now. Here's a good everyday way to wear emerald. I would totally wear this to class or on the weekend. And a nice breezy blouse tucked into a pair of jeans and belted with some comfy flats would be great and cute outfit for casual days.

Dressy Green

I really want a dress in this style. Add some nice heels and a blazer with neutral accessories and it would be a really great/classy outfit for spring. I have work, and presentations quite a lot and this would be the perfect outfit for something like that. Nude heels are so versatile that everyone should have a pair, and with this outfit keep everything else neutral to let the green really pop!

Splashes of Green

I'm pretty sure everyone has an outfit similar to this one. I know this is similar to my everyday uniform. By adding green accessories to outfits that are already in your closet, it a great and inexpensive way to stay on trend with the color of the year. Grab an emerald scarf, a cute pair of shoes, a nice belt, or even nail polish or eyeshadow to spice up your everyday uniform!

Hey guys, so yesterday my roommate and I decided to clean out our closets. It ended up with me getting a dress (which is super cute), and her getting 20+ different things like shirts, pants, shoes, necklaces, ect. (I've been needing to do some spring cleaning for a while...)

Anyways...this is the new dress I got..for free, and how I dressed it up for class in the winter! :)

Random pic!! Haha, actually I wanted a close up of the dress pattern. It has little horses on it and a super cute black collar! Thank you roomie!!! :)
